LRS-24 RADview/TDM Monitoring Modem Performance 5-3

 To view/run tests on a modem:

1. In the Zoom view, select the modem (near end or far end), right click and

select Diagnostics > Test.

The DTE1 Testing dialog box displays the current tests running on the

modem. For descriptions of the fields, see

Table 5-1

2. If the Interface Type is IR (ETH/UTP, ETH/BNC, IP/UTP, ETH/Q) a confirmation

message appears “Activating Loops may cause wrong information in the

routing tables”.

3. Press <OK> to confirm.

4. To run a new test on the modem, in the Activate Loops field, from the drop-

down list, choose the desired test, and click <Apply> (adjacent to the Active

Loops field).

5. To stop all tests running on the modem, in the Loops area, click <Stop>

(adjacent to the Current Loops field).

6. To set the polling interval on the modem, click <Polling> (available only if the

test being run is BERT, as shown in the Current Loops field, shown in the

figure above).
