Rate Adapting Protocol Private, V110

Note: V110 support is optional.

If protocol is Private, data bits can only be 7 or 8.

For modem software version 0, data rates of 57.6 and 115.3 kbps are not supported.

The following combinations are invalid:

Software version is less than one and the Rate Adapting Protocol is equal to V110.

Software version is greater than one and:

Rate = 56 kbps

Rate adapting Protocol = Private

Rate Adapting Protocol = Private and data bit values are not 7 or 8.

Software version = 0

Rate = 57.6 or 115.2 kbps.

To switch from Sync mode to Async mode, you must first switch the Clock Source

before changing the mode.

Before performing the set operation NMS checks the software version value for

both near-end and far-end modems, using the lower value. If the far-end modem

is disconnected, only the near-end modem is taken into account
