Management via LAN
In this application, the management station is connected to the managed devices
through an Ethernet LAN and an MBE (Ethernet Elementary Bridge). If the MBE
and the devices are located in the same subnet, the system will operate
immediately upon hardware connection with no need for further software
configuration.

2.3 Launching RADview/TDM LRS-24
Start using RADview/TDM LRS-24 by launching the (main) LRS-24 View window.
To open the LRS-24 View window:
• On the map, double-click on the LRS-24 icon.
The LRS-24 View window opens (see
Figure 2-4).
You are now able to
perform configuration and monitoring functions in the entire LRS-24
system.
2.4 Using the Graphical User Interface (GUI)
From the LRS-24 View window, you can configure and monitor the entire system
(LRS-24 chassis components).

The LRS-24 View window (
Figure 2-4
) provides a dynamically updated graphic
representation of the modem cards in the LRS-24 chassis. The view includes the
LEDs, interfaces and their operational and communication status.
