Appendix A
Software Upgrades
This chapter discusses managing the software inventory in the network, as well
as distributing software upgrades using RADview.
Managing software upgrades includes the following tasks:
• Internal software download - checking internal download status
• External software download – checking external download status.
•
Software download is relevant only for CM-2, ASMi-31CQ, ASMi-51CD/CQ,
ASMi-52CD/CQ/CD4W cards.
•
Do not perform reset during software download.
A.1 Downloading Internal Software
The procedures for downloading software from the CM-2 card and the ASMi card
family vary slightly, as explained in the following procedures.
Downloading a Modem from the CM-2
To download software from CM-2:
1. In the LRS-24 View window, select the CM-2 card.
A blue border outlines the selected card.
2. Right click, and select Options > Int. SW. Download.
