Clearing Alarms in the Alarm Buffer
You can clear the alarm history log contained in the LRS-24 Alarm Buffer.
This is applicable only for ASMi-51CD/CQ, ASMi-52CD/CQ/CD4W and some SMODs.
To clear all alarms in the LRS-24 alarm buffer:
• In the Zoom view, select the modem (near end or far end), right click and
select Fault > History Log > Clear.
The alarm buffer is cleared.
All active alarms are eventually reactivated and then reappear in the LRS-24
Modem Active Alarm List and Alarm Buffer, shown above.
Masking Modem Traps
You can specify the modem trap you want to mask.
This is not supported for SMODs. For additional information, see Updating System
Installation Registry.
To mask a trap:
1. In the Zoom view, select the modem (near-end or far-end), right click and
select Fault > Mask Traps.

2. In the Traps area, select the traps to be masked, by selecting the relevant
check box, as follows:
Select Alarms to mask all alarm traps.
Select Status to mask status traps.
3. Click <Set> to mask the selected traps.
