5. Edit the /etc/inetd.conf file in order to enable the TFTP Server. Follow the
next steps to edit the /etc/inetd.conf file using the Text Editor.
Right click on the desktop and select Text Editor from the Application
menu.
From the File menu select Open.
The Text Editor is displayed.
Type: /etc in the Enter Path or File Name field.
Click Update.
Type: inetd.conf in the Enter a File Name field.
Click OK.
Search for the line starting with #tftp.
(e.g. # tftp dgram). Remove the # sign (see Figure 4-61).
In Solaris 2.8
TM
, change the udp6 to udp.
At the end of that line you will see -S /tftpboot. Change to the directory
you just created /export/home/tftpboot.
If the tftp line in the inetd.conf file does not begin with #, this means that the TFTP
Server is already enabled. In this case you can use either the specified
<TFTP_boot> directory or change it and follow the next steps (see Figure 4-61).
6. Save the inetd.conf file with the current changes. From the File menu, select
Save and then Close the Text Editor.
